What does it mean to love your neighbor? Just ask Craig Traylor. On January 21st, Craig noticed that he had not seen one of his neighbors all morning. That neighbor's garbage cart was still by the road which was unusual since his routine was to pull the cart back to the yard after the sanitation workers has emptied it. There was also food left on the front porch that had not been touched. Considering all these things to be out of the norm for his neighbor, Craig went to his neighbor's door, knocked and called out his neighbor's name. He then realized that his neighbor was home but could not get to the door. Craig immediately called for maintenance to do a welfare check which revealed that his neighbor was having a medical emergency.
On Thursday February 27, 2020 Craig Traylor was awarded the Good Neighbor Award by Thomaston Housing Authority for kindly checking on his neighbor and calling for help. His actions could very well have saved his neighbor's life. We solute Craig Traylor, our most recent Good Neighbor.
